Basketball Recap: Groves Gets the Win

Royal Oak came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Groves, but Harlem Simpson wouldn't allow it. The Groves Falcons walked away with a 43-36 victory over the Royal Oak Ravens on Tuesday thanks to Simpson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Groves' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Genevieve Meihn, who posted ten points and three steals. She is becoming a predictor of Groves' success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 2-10 when she doesn't).

Groves' record is now 4-11. As for Royal Oak, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
