Volleyball Game Preview: Proviso East Pirates vs. ACERO Garcia Patriots

The Proviso East Pirates will take on the ACERO Garcia Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Proviso East came up short against Downers Grove South and fell 2-0. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, ACERO Garcia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mansueto.

ACERO Garcia was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Proviso East's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for ACERO Garcia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Proviso East beat ACERO Garcia 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
