Softball Recap: Pinelands Regional Gets the Win

Pinelands Regional won the last time they faced Monmouth Regional and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 6-1.

Rory Krier looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Hannah Theuret was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Peterka, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Pinelands Regional's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Monmouth Regional, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinelands Regional will face off against Howell at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monmouth Regional, they will challenge Keansburg at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
