Softball Recap: Edison Eagles vs. Alexandria City Titans
Edison suffered their biggest loss since March 18th on Wednesday. They came up short against the Alexandria City Titans, falling 16-2. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Edison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Sable, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Sable hit this season.
Edison's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Alexandria City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Justice at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Alexandria City, they will venture away from home to challenge Woodson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
