Softball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

Lytle lost to Blanco back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avary Hernandez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Evelyn Quintana was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lytle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Blanco, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lytle will challenge Incarnate Word at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Shamrocks have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Blanco, they will take on Burnet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
