Anna-Jonesboro won the last time they faced DuQuoin and things went their way  on Monday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Indians. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 20 matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Ruby Yates made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jayci Needling, who  fired off two  home runs and six  RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Ariana Turner, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run.
 Anna-Jonesboro was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in nine consecutive  games.
Anna-Jonesboro has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for DuQuoin, their defeat was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-17.
 Anna-Jonesboro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  match,  a  17-2  victory against Benton on the 7th. As for DuQuoin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  9-1  loss against Red Bud on the 7th.
