Volleyball Recap: Niles North Gets the Win

Niles North won the last time they faced Taft and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Niles North not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Taft to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Andrew Selig paced Niles North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Selig got some help from Horia Beca and his 25 assists. Haktan Erel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Niles North's record now sits at 22-5. As for Taft, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-7 record this season.

Niles North will take on Vernon Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Taft does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
