With a playoff win on the line, Smithson Valley rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Angleton Wildcats. The win was nothing new for the Rangers as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Although Angleton took the loss, they still got scores from Cam Brown and Travon Waddy.

Smithson Valley pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.1 points per game. As for Angleton, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-2.

Smithson Valley and Highland Park will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Smithson Valley's defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so Highland Park's offense will have their work cut out for them. Angleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
