Soccer Recap: Klein Takes a Loss

Klein lost against Tomball Memorial back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Klein Bearkats fell 3-1 to the Tomball Memorial Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Bearkats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Wildcats are ranked 83rd).

Klein's goal came courtesy of Ava Matthews, who's now up to two this season.

Klein dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tomball Memorial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-3.

Looking ahead, Klein will be playing in front of their home fans against Magnolia at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Magnolia will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Klein surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tomball Memorial, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tomball Memorial face off against the Klein Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Klein Oak's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Tomball Memorial's offense will have their work cut out for them.
