Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Oconee County Warriors

The Eastside Eagles and the Oconee County Warriors will round out the year against one another at at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Eastside lost to North Oconee at home by a 62-46 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Titans are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Oconee County against Jackson County on Saturday as the squad secured a 49-19 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Oconee County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Eastside, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
