Basketball Recap: Mascoma Takes a Loss

Mascoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the White Mountains Spartans and fell 68-9. The Royals lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-29 score last time.

Lyla Jacobson was Mascoma's leading scorer, having posted four points.

Mascoma's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for White Mountains, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Mascoma will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsboro-Deering at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for White Mountains, they will square off against Berlin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
