Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane and Orem squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Hurricane had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to Orem. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Hurricane hasn't been shut out since back in September.

Olivia Prete paced Hurricane's offense, picking up five kills. Prete got some help from Teuila Alualu and her 15 assists.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Orem, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

Hurricane didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mountain View on the 28th. As for Orem, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Crimson Cliffs on the 28th.
