 In what's become a running theme this season, Ashwaubenon gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  an  8-1 margin over the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ashwaubenon also won the last time the pair played  back in April.
  Nick Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up ten Ks. That  hit was his first of the 2024 season.
 On the hitting side,  Hunter Heinemeyer and  Zak Bellile did most of the damage at the plate:  Heinemeyer  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4, while  Bellile  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Sheboygan North's side,  Mark Williams was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
 Ashwaubenon pushed their record up to 7-8 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for Sheboygan North, they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-11.
 Ashwaubenon will be playing in front of their home fans against De Pere at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. De Pere will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  victory, something Ashwaubenon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sheboygan North, they are on the road again  on Friday to play Notre Dame Academy at 4:30  p.m. Notre Dame Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so Sheboygan North's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
