Football Recap: Lake Minneola Skates Past Eustis with Ease

Lake Minneola got themselves on the board against Eustis on Tuesday, but Eustis never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 40-0 victory over the Eustis Panthers. The Hawks' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three matchups.

Kumari Wright had an outrageously good game as she rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 45 yards and two touchdowns. Austyn Krepcho made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Lake Minneola's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Eustis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Minneola has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 105 points over their last three contests. As for Eustis, they will host East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
