Football Recap: Juniata Takes a Loss

Juniata was the 20-6 winner over Bellefonte when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 17-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Friday.

A big part of Bellefonte's win came down to the chemistry between Alten Howell and his top target Ashten Howell. Alten rushed for 120 yards and one score while Ashten rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown. Those 120 rushing yards gave Alten a new career-high.

Juniata's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bellefonte, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Juniata does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellefonte, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-13 loss against Shamokin Area on the 14th.
