Football Recap: Celeste Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Celeste's offense. They came up short against the Boles Hornets on Friday, falling 26-0. The Blue Devils' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Case Kittelson threw for 115 yards on 16 of 30 attempts. Kaleb Adams was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Case Reisor rushed for 52 yards.

Boles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Granado out in front who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only ten carries. Granado also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Grayson Drennan, who rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Celeste's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Boles, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Celeste has already played their next matchup, a 34-0 victory against Linden-Kildare on the 26th. As for Boles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 56-19 defeat against Honey Grove on the 26th.
