The Cape Cod Academy Seahawks are still winless after their game against the Fenway Panthers on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Cape Cod Academy fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 48-45. Cape Cod Academy has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cape Cod Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mikey Santos, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. Harrison Lauf was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Cape Cod Academy dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Fenway, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cape Cod Academy will take on the Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Monomoy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Seahawks in Massachusetts (the Sharks are ranked 74th, while the Seahawks are ranked 306th). As for Fenway, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st.
