Baseball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

Fairfax started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Alhambra. They came up short against the Alhambra Lions on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Stampede just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Vincent Quadrozzi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Even though they lost, Fairfax was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Alhambra, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfax will face off against Sierra Linda at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Alhambra, they will challenge Tolleson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alhambra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
