Softball Game Preview: Riverdale Warriors vs. Lincoln County Falcons

The Riverdale Warriors will square off against the Lincoln County Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Riverdale will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Riverdale earned a 7-4 victory over Central Hardin. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County entered their matchup against Columbia Central on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Falcons fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since March 10th.

Hana Corder was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Lily Pope also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Lincoln County, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-6-2.
