Softball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer fell victim to Christopher and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 on April 7th.

Pioneer saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gizelle Ortiz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Pioneer dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Christopher, their record is now 6-8.

Looking ahead, Pioneer will welcome Prospect at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christopher, they will head out on the road to challenge Live Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Acorns' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
