Baseball Recap: West Morris Central Takes a Loss

West Morris Central came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Mount Olive Marauders. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Marauders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Morris Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Wormann, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Morris Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Mount Olive, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

While West Morris Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
