Volleyball Game Preview: Puxico Indians vs. Bernie Mules

The Puxico Indians will take on the Bernie Mules in a tournament on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Puxico turned things around against Greenville on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The Indians not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 8th (when they won 3-0).

Puxico was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-15.

Bernie won the last time they faced Bloomfield and Kalli Mason did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mules were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Thursday with plenty of help from Mason, who had 13 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Bernie walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-19, 25-17.

Bernie's win bumped their record up to 21-8-1. As for Puxico, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Puxico might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Bernie in their previous matchup back in August. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
