Recap: Alba-Golden Panthers vs. Cooper Bulldogs
The Alba-Golden Panthers waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They secured a 45-41 W over Cooper. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but Alba-Golden was the better team in the second half.
When it comes to explaining why Cooper lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bayleigh George. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marilynn Wilkerson, who scored seven points.
Alba-Golden has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Cooper, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Alba-Golden will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Como-Pickton at 6:30 p.m. As for Cooper, they will head out on the road to square off against Boles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
