Chatfield is 8-2 against Wabasha-Kellogg since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Chatfield Gophers are taking a road trip to face off against the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons at 7:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Monday, Chatfield had to suffer through a 93-58 loss at the hands of Decorah-North Winneshiek. While losing is never fun, the Gophers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 265th in Minnesota, while the Vikings are ranked 20th in Iowa).

Meanwhile, Wabasha-Kellogg lost to Houston on the road by a 64-47 margin on Tuesday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chatfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Chatfield took their win against Wabasha-Kellogg in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 86-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chatfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
