Volleyball Recap: Jurupa Hills Takes a Loss

Jurupa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Rim of the World Fighting Scots. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Scots earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Jurupa Hills was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.

Whitney Smith paced Jurupa Hills' offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Sariah Jordan and her ten assists. Finally, Jordan was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Jurupa Hills now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Rim of the World, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Jurupa Hills has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against San Gorgonio on the 25th. As for Rim of the World, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame on the 25th.
