Basketball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Bradley-Bourbonnais won the last time they faced Stagg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers managed a 52-47 victory over the Stagg Chargers. Given the Boilermakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Chargers are ranked 588th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Bradley-Bourbonnais and bumps their season record up to 14-7. As for Stagg, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.

Bradley-Bourbonnais will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln-Way Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln-Way Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bradley-Bourbonnais surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stagg, they will head out to square off against Lockport at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lockport knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Stagg likes a good challenge.
