Basketball Game Preview: Holly Wildcats vs. Manzanola Bobcats

The Holly Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Manzanola Bobcats at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Holly saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a blow against Sublette, falling 79-44.

Holly's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Drayden Williams, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 19 rebounds, and Leo Mendoza, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points. Williams is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Manzanola duked it out with Aguilar on Saturday. The Bobcats enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over the Wildcats. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Holly now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Manzanola, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Holly against Manzanola when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured an 83-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
