Basketball Game Preview: North Baltimore Tigers vs. Hardin Northern Polar Bears + How To Watch

North Baltimore is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Thursday. They will face off against the Hardin Northern Polar Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (North Baltimore has five wins , while Hardin Northern has four).

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. North Baltimore walked away with a 43-30 win over Holgate. North Baltimore pushed the score to 39-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Holgate cut but never quite recovered from.

Lacie Allison had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 31 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was her 27th in a row with at least 16 points. Avery Benedict also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

North Baltimore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hardin Northern won against Upper Scioto Valley on Thursday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Polar Bears were the clear victors by a 41-16 margin over Vanlue. That looming 41-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Polar Bears yet this season.

Hardin Northern's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for North Baltimore, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

North Baltimore ended up a good deal behind Hardin Northern in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 51-36. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
