Basketball Preview: Patriot Pioneers vs. Osbourn Park Yellowjackets
Patriot is 10-0 against the Yellowjackets since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Patriot Pioneers will be playing at home against the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Patriot's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Yellowjackets have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Patriot proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 54) but on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hayfield 50-48.
Meanwhile, Osbourn Park scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Gainesville by a score of 63-52. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Osbourn Park has managed all season.
Patriot is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Osbourn Park, their victory bumped their record up to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Patriot against the Yellowjackets in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 105-18 win. Does Patriot have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
