Volleyball Recap: Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Central was the 2-0 winner over Green River when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves on Friday. The loss put an end to the Indians' undefeated start to the season.

Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Presley Stephenson paced Central's offense, picking up five kills. Stephenson got some help from Chaney Birt and her six assists. Birt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 2-1. As for Green River, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Central has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Rock Springs on the 30th. Green River has also already played their next matchup (against Sheridan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
