Softball Recap: Rockbridge County Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rockbridge County's offense. They came up short against the Broadway Gobblers on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Gobblers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Broadway, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockbridge County will take on Spotswood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trailblazers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Broadway, they will challenge East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gobblers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
