Volleyball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short

Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Burke Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-6, 25-3.

Burke was led to victory by Breckynn Pistulka and Kyrie Matucha. Pistulka had nine assists and three aces, while Matucha had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Pistulka has posted over her last 11 contests.

Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Burke, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Chamberlain and Burke will both be playing Bon Homme the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 7:45 p.m.
