Basketball Recap: Wortham Comes Up Short

Wortham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Frost Polar Bears, falling 64-7. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-3.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frost to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brenda Manrriquez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Manrriquez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 21 games she's played. Brynna Banks was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Wortham's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Frost, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-8.

As of now, neither Wortham nor Frost have any future games scheduled.
