Soccer Recap: Burleson Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aledo, Burleson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hillsboro Eagles an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Annalynn Chavarria as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory got Burleson back to even at 3-3. As for Hillsboro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Burleson will be taking part in a tournament against Trinity at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Burleson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season. As for Hillsboro, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ennis at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
