Enochs's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Downey Knights get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaylee Ruiz looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Nico Gwin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Joella Amezcua also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Enochs hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in ten consecutive games.
