Softball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover had lost two consecutive heartbreakers to Jackson and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 10-8. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Jackson, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hoover is set to face off against their familiar foe McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jackson will take on rival Green at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Polar Bears 4, the Bulldogs 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
