Softball Recap: Dansville Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Dansville got themselves on the board against Morrice on Wednesday, but Morrice never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Orioles with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Ryker Graf made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddi Carter, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Bree Delano was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Dansville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.

Dansville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Morrice, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dansville will welcome Perry at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
