Softball Recap: Coahoma Bulldogs vs. Holliday Eagles

With a playoff game on the line, Coahoma rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Holliday Eagles as they made off with a 9-3 win. The victory was just business as usual For Coahoma, who after 26 games remain undefeated this season.

Hannah Wells spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brynn Rodgers, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karleigh Burt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Coahoma's win bumped their record up to 26-0. As for Holliday, their loss dropped their record down to 24-9.
