Baseball Recap: Crowley Comes Up Short

Crowley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mansfield Tigers.

Malachi Pavlovich was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Crowley's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Mansfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4-1.

While Crowley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
