Softball Recap: Elizabeth Takes a Loss

Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-5 to the Plainview Hornets. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Sidney D and Taylor Willis did some serious damage despite the final result: D scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Willis scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Plainview, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Elizabeth will welcome Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainview, they will venture away from home to square off against Pitkin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
