Basketball Recap: Vanlue Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Vanlue faced off against McComb on Friday. The Wildcats lost 83-59 to the Panthers. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Vanlue's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for McComb, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Vanlue will venture away from home to square off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for McComb, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cory-Rawson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Fighting Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
