Volleyball Recap: Jackson-Reed Falls Short Against Ranked the Academy of the Holy Cross

Jackson-Reed is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of The Academy of the Holy Cross. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Tartans. The Tigers have struggled against the Tartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19.

Jackson-Reed's defeat dropped their record down to 15-3. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 21-0-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Jackson-Reed will take on Banneker at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Flint Hill on the 11th.
