Recap: Lititz Christian Eagles vs. Veritas Academy Monarch
The Lititz Christian Eagles lost against the Veritas Academy Monarch back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lititz Christian fell 65-52 to Veritas Academy. Lititz Christian has not had much luck with Veritas Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Lititz Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jack Kriebel dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kriebel has scored all season. Elijah Antes was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven steals and six assists.
Lititz Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Veritas Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lititz Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Meadowbrook Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Meadowbrook Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Veritas Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against High Point Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully High Point Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Tuesday.
