Basketball Game Preview: Needville Bluejays vs. Brazosport Exporters

Needville is 1-9 against Brazosport since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Needville Bluejays will host the Brazosport Exporters at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Needville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Bay City 67-47 on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bluejays as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Bohdan Zeitz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 6-for-8 from long range and dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high. Jaydon Ortiz was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Brazosport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-65 heartbreaker at the hands of Wharton.

Needville's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Brazosport, their loss dropped their record down to 18-11.
