Soccer Recap: Rochester Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Rochester kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Althoff Catholic Crusaders by a score of 5-4. Audrey Lowder was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Rochester hit Althoff Catholic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alaina Stock (2), Taylor Offer, and Mary Jane Keller.

Coming up, Rochester will head out to challenge Springfield Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Rochester their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Althoff Catholic, they will host Alton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
