Volleyball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Monta Vista Matadors + How To Watch

Milpitas is 0-8 against Monta Vista since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Matadors at 6:45 p.m. Monta Vista took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Milpitas, who comes in off a win.

Milpitas will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Mountain View, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday.

Milpitas not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mountain View between 19 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Monta Vista didn't have quite enough to beat Los Gatos on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Monta Vista took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-11, 22-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Milpitas' win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Monta Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.
