Baseball Recap: Empire Takes a Loss

Empire lost against Velma-Alma back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Comets by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Empire and nudges their season record down to 5-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Velma-Alma, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Empire has already played their next contest (against Mountain View-Gotebo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Velma-Alma, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ringling on the 1st.
