North Lamar won the last time they faced Community and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers blew past the Braves 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 29-27, 25-23.

Alexa Lane paced North Lamar's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lane got some help from Myla Geeslin and her 17 assists. Finally, Ava Rangel kept North Lamar's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

North Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Community, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

North Lamar has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Edgewood on the 26th. As for Community, they will take on Mineola at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
