Basketball Game Preview: Westside Patriots vs. Baldwin Braves

The Westside Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Baldwin Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside is looking for their season's first victory.

On Tuesday, Westside was beaten by Academy of Richmond County 55-22. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while the Musketeers are ranked 215th).

Meanwhile, Baldwin had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hephzibah 81-24. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 21 points or more this season.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Baldwin, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Westside was taken down by Baldwin 90-9 in their previous meeting on January 3rd. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westside was down 47-4.
