Football Game Preview: Rock Hill Redmen vs. Dawson-Bryant Hornets

The Rock Hill Redmen will face off against the Dawson-Bryant Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rock Hill is headed into Friday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 27-14 to Chesapeake on Friday.

Rock Hill might have lost, but man, Brady Murrell was a machine: he rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Murrell didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, made two total tackles, and defended one pass. Kelan Davidson helped out on the ground, rushing for 96 yards.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Bryant entered their tilt with Fairland on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Dragons 30-0. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Dawson-Bryant's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Rock Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Rock Hill took a serious blow against Dawson-Bryant when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 43-3. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Hornets' Kaden Murphy, who rushed for 321 yards and five scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry.
